Nikola Katic insists a shock 1-0 win over Liverpool will give the team a huge boost of confidence, while also praising his team-mates for their defensive work.

The Championship club, who are bottom of the table, were the big surprise in this season’s FA Cup when they bravely knocked out Premier League leaders Liverpool with a Ryan Hardy penalty winner.
Plymouth Argyle’s player of the match Nikola Katic praised his goalkeeper Conor Hazard’s heroics as they dumped Liverpool out of the FA Cup, revealing he “used to hate” his teammate owing to Old Firm rivalries before the shock 1-0 win.
Katic and Hazard were the standout performers as the Championship’s bottom side eliminated Arne Slot’s Premier League leaders in the fourth-round tie that was ultimately decided by Ryan Hardie’s second-half penalty.
In the previous round, they also got past แทงบอล UFABET ราคาดีที่สุด ไม่มีขั้นต่ำ Brentford from the top flight.
“That’s why I came here. It’s good to get confidence from this win. We did well with the structure in defense and everyone gave their all. We did what the coach asked of us. That’s all.”
On team-mate Conor Hazard: “When I first arrived here I hated him because he’s a Celtic guy and I’m a Rangers guy. But now I love him.”
Katic played for Rangers in Scotland from 2018 to 2021 before moving on a permanent deal to Zurich in 2022. He joined Plymouth on loan from the Swiss outfit in the January transfer window as they look to stave off relegation to League One.
