Former midfielder Dietmar Hamann is urging Liverpool to sign Leverkusen’s star right-back Jeremy Frimpong to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is set to leave the club.

The Reds have been looking for a new right-back since the start of the year after a contract extension with Trent failed to progress and Frimpong is one of the targets, with a reported €40m release clause, and Hamann has described him as an excellent replacement.
Alexander-Arnold is widely expect to complete his move to Real Madrid on a free transfer once his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season.
The England international has faced criticism from some Liverpool supporters over his decision to leave Anfield, however, Hamann feels the 26-year-old needs to take the opportunity if a move to Madrid is an option.
“I would be surprise if nobody เล่นบาคาร่า UFABET เว็บตรง ค่าคอมสูง took Jeremy Frimpong last summer for around €40m. There was an option and nobody used it, but he’s a great player,” Hamann said. “He’s got pace, he can score goals and pass. He is a modern player and would do well in the Premier League.”
“He’s more of a full-back than a full-back, but he’d be a great player for Liverpool. He’d be another attacking option aside from Mohamed Salah, who likes to cut inside with his left foot.”
“Every team needs a player with pace and he certainly has that. He would be a good option for Liverpool if Trent Alexander-Arnold leaves.”
