England Under-21s boss Lee Carsley has urged his team to be in top form ahead of Saturday’s Euro 2020 quarter-final against Spain.

On Wednesday, England needed just a draw in their final group game against the Eagles to secure a place in the knockout stages, but lost 2-1 but still felt good after their opponents, Slovenia, lost 2-0 to the Czech Republic.
“I’m disappointed to lose the game คาสิโนออนไลน์ UFABET ฝากถอนรวดเร็ว เริ่มต้นเล่นง่าย because we all know how important it is. The first half was not good enough, we lost our style of play and conceded a goal, but we responded well in the second half and that’s the kind of team I want to see.”
Speaking about what he told his team at half-time, “You just need a response from the players and at the end of the day, we want them to take responsibility and own the game.”
“We made some changes but at the end of the day it’s up to the players and it’s good that they responded. Having this experience as a young player will help in the future.”
On the challenge of facing Spain in the quarter-finals: “If you want to win the trophy you have to beat teams like this. The boys have to be given credit for getting through and there have been England teams in the past who haven’t done that.”
“We have to be positive but we have to make sure we are better against Spain,”
